Just trying to keep up…

Well as promised I have returned prior to the turn of a new year. I have some progress reports to show and even a finished object or two. On with the show:

First I will cover the Rusted Root fiasco of 2008. I was continuing with my unofficial mission possible list when I got back to rusted root. I tried it on several times before but I was still not convinced it was coming out right. Here’s why

This is the gauge of the first Rusty= 18sts per 4 inches

This is Rusty part deux= 22sts per 4 inches

Yeh so here they are together so you can really visualize how this fiasco unfolded. The second coming of Rusty is on top:

Yeh, my sweater can eat your sweater. Anywho we are back on track now so re-Rusty only awaiting sleeves. After some Ravelry inspiration I have decided make quarter sleeves.  I am a little worried about how big a hole is left by the sleeve stitches pick up…

Ok I have copped to the silliness of it. I can move on.

Next I finished the mossy jacket. I like the finished look but I don’t dig the yarn. I’m not sure I like the texture thick and thin yarn yields, at least in this case. But the yarn is so so SO soft. I decided to make the cuffs longer so I would not have to start on the second green skein.

I think it will be quite adorable on my little one but I’m biased. Duh.

Ok I casted on for Evangeline.  I like the way the cable on the back turns out and its easy to memorize.  I wish they had included thumb increases.  I took a pic of the way it pulls at the palm of my hand.

I think I will knit the second one with my suggested improvements and see how it turns out.  I am loving this Colinette Cadenza.  If you recall I acquired it at the Dunwoody Yarn store closing.  Ok I must away…

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming…

Whew I feel like I have been away FOREVER! But I have been busy you know- creating life and what not. Very heavy stuff. I did however knit while I was away so never fear. There will be one baby pic but he is wearing a finished object so its purely for documentary purposes. On that note I will start with him. He was a preemie and in case you are wondering there is very little available in the way of preemie patterns. All I could find were simple charity patterns. **Note on charity knitting. My son received not 1 not 2 but 4 donated knit hats while he was in the hospital. He also got a wee donated blankie. Knitters are amazing. It made me feel better that some sweet knitter had selflessly made a tiny perfect hat for my tiny perfect baby. I am a changed woman. Once I get into a routine there will be some charity knitting.** Anyway I decided to design my son’s sweater myself:

Simple top down raglan preemie sized and knit on a tighter gauge than the yarn called for by going a needle size down from the recommended. I wanted the sweater to be extra warm for my lil one although the day he came home was like a spring day in January. Finally we get a break *sigh*. Also I knit the collar ribbing in line with the sweater ( I hate picking up and knitting ribbing). I cast on 3 sts on each side after the collar for the garter stitch button band that could be knit simultaneously. When buttoned the sweater looks like a ski jacket, very en vogue for the stylish baby.

Yarn: Debbie Bliss merino

Here he is modeling the sweater the day he finally got to leave the hospital. They gave me a half a days notice that he was coming home so I was up all night finishing. It was dried by letting my space heater blow directly on it. I figured if it didn’t dry in time he couldn’t wear it. If the heater destroyed it he couldn’t wear. What did I have to lose?

Here is a shot of the back. I also completed a terribly fitted hat that slid of at every chance it got. That hat will not be shown here.

Next I completed a Zodiac minus the sign. I hate the way it turned out. I see where the designer was going with the icord armholes and such but mine look crummy and there were annoying to knit. :-p I bought the amount of yarn suggested in the pattern and was left with 2.5 skeins (hence the sweater above)

This thing’s only redeeming factor is its cute as hella cute on the wee one.  :-)

If you remember while returning from Missouri with Melissa I cast on for a shrug. That shrug in the spirit of Mission Possible, though I am not an official participant, is now complete. Voila!

Close up of the lace sleeves.

This shrug is a hybrid of the Blue Sky Alpaca lace shrug and Streakers. There was lots of math involved to change the gauge but I like how it turned out. The only problem is the ribbing around the neck/body. I started with 3 inches of ribbing/lace panel but then you couldn’t see it in the back. I forced myself to rip out the cast off and knit another 2 inches and damnit! the top part is rolling at the neck and I still can’t see the bottom edge. In the lace shrug the ribbing flips at the neck and lays on the shoulders won’t work for my lace panels that echo the sleeves. The collar stands up on streakers but the body isn’t as as wide so you can see the ribbing in the back. I’m not sure what I want to do about it just yet so I washed and blocked it so it can be worn while I think about it, I like the lace inside the ribbing.

I complete my central park hoodie and gifted it to my sis. She graduated from college and I thought she deserved something special. She really likes my knits so what’s a couple months of work?

My only mods are knitting the ribbing shorter to account for my 5 foot 2 sis. The ribbing was picked up and knit all at once on the same size needles as the body (I got lazy). Lastly I tweaked the sleeve cable with moss stitch as I described in the other post. My sis decided she didn’t want buttons or any other closure, bless her.

Look at her working the camera…

That’s me trying to get a shot of the sleeves before I gave it to her.

That’s the best I could do.

Lastly I knit the same pattern a second time for the first time ever. I made another pair of Pembrokeshire Pathways. This pair is for my mom’s birthday (it was last month). I added to repeats to the pattern to make the socks wide.

Yarn: Knitpicks Gloss in Serengeti. I loved this yarn. It was really smooth and washed nice. I will definately be buying more of it.

Ok its past time to feed the beast so I must away. Next I will discuss my rusty re do and the mossy jacket that is humongous. Thank you and good night.

Festival High is Winding Down

Hello all! I saw some of you this weekend which was cool. Sorry I didn’t hang out with you more but my hubby accompanied me and I didn’t think it would be right to just leave him behind to hang and knit. Not that I knew of any gatherings really other than the blue barn but I am sure that comes from my newness to the whole social side of this craft. Anywho I didn’t take pics of all the lovely folks I saw but I have a couple pics of foliage, does that count?

Ok M (my hubby) and I arrived on Friday night after taking a scenic route to avoid horrific Atlanta traffic. We had some dinner with Melissa and her hubby. We milled around a bit on Saturday and found our way to the fest about noon.

We met up with Melissa and hubby and grabbed a quick bite at the concession stand. I think it is appropriate to note that I really liked my chili cheese fries in case they are an option next year go ahead and try em. :-) We started on the bottom floor which at the end of the day I thought was the best for yarn. Brooks Farm did not disappoint but I was so overwhelmed with things I really loved it took a return trip on Sunday for me to purchase this:

Its called Acero and its superwash wool, silk, and nylon. Unless you touched it you can’t imagine how soft it really is. :-) The color is soft purple, rose, and khaki in my bastardized description. Its really delicate and girly. I fought buying more green and blue for socks. Go me. This yarn will become socks for me.

My next memorable stop on Saturday was Miss Babs. I am pretty sure I visited last year but was not really knitting socks at that time and didn’t have a use for the sale yarns I saw. Fortunately, that and a more open mind brought me back this year. Twice.

First I bought these:

Superwash Baby and Sock yarn in Ga Tech colors!!! Go Jackets! *Ok these are not technically our colors. Tech is actually gold and white but black or blue is always used as an accent. This yarn is gold with hints of dark blue and black so its perfect no matter which colors are chosen.* This will probably turn into a hat and socks for the wee one to wear during game watching or other Tech related outings.

Next I got this organic cotton in Sage

The beautiful brown buttons were actually purchased on the second trip Sunday. They will be used to make Presto Chango for my wee one

Ok yes there was a slight theme for this SAFF trip. I need to have yarn to make things for him to wear so I thought I would seek out that yarn at SAFF, it worked.

Lastly on Saturday I snagged this SALE YARN!!! $6 per hank and it was still there, I am giddy.

She called it thick and thin but it looked pretty uniform to me.

Its future is to become the Mossy Jacket:

I wanted a pretty multicolored one but I had a yarn color fiasco with Webs so it will be two solids instead. I almost bought some alpaca/merino from Brooks Farm for $15 per hank. This more reasonably priced though not as exciting in color. I will survive so will the wee one.

Ok next I stopped at Knitting Notions. This is the first place I have been where I loved nearly every colorway. This love coupled with me not being able to buy enough yarn to make something for myself led me to grab a card from them. I will be back and I will have some yarn in some colorway.

Upstairs we go to my favorite hand made soap provider Blue Ridge Soap Shed. They bring scents to the fest that they don’t keep on the website. I bought some for me and some for a friend.

After a break at Cracker Barrel we took to the outside vendors after we swung by the blue barn and waved at some familiar faces. I got to meet the Sanguine Gryphon and Dragonfly I think, both were delightful. Its nice to put a face to the things you buy that have been hand-dyed, spun, painted. I have to say her humble attitude and general nature was quite soothing. I could have sat in there all day…

Gryphon was nice enough to pull this pattern out and sell it to me free of the kit. I will be making more like a scarf though rather than a shawl.

Here is a closer look at the alpaca

It is not the brown/black combo I orginally picked but ESC stole it. No I am kidding, actually she politely waited while I made up my mind though I could feel her looking at me. :-) Make something purdy with it, ok? I wanted 2 hanks and alas there was only 1 of that one so I took this color instead. And the best part? The alpaca was HALF OFF, thats $11 instead of $22! Can’t beat that I say.

All in all my take looked like this

Better than last year but I had an extra $50 and bought more sale yarn.

Ok now I can show a semi FO (needs washing and blocking). This is a very special earflap hat. Why special you say? Well it was sheared by Jen from her corriedale. Then it was hand dyed by Funky Carolina in Strawberry Fields. Then it was spun into yarn by Melissa. And lastly hand knit by me. I think that’s pretty cool.

Here is the hat with its matching mits. These are for M’s coworker whom I gave an item that I made that didn’t fit her wee one. I was devasted and vowed to replace it. Ta-Dah!

And bringing up the rear is progress on my first knit item for my little one

Ok the pattern called to knit it in pieces. But in light of an ass load of seaming remaining on Central Park I could not bring myself to do it. Not to mention it would have been seaming in moss stitch, I don’t freaking think so. Melissa agreed it looks a little like a sausage right now but that is what blocking is for my friends. I will leave you with some folliage from the ride home from SAFF.

Pretty as a picture and smog free. Deep. Cleansing. Breaths.

Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails…

Hey first thanks for all the comments on the Dinosaur post. I am glad to know it wasn’t just me and that it was perfectly warranted to be an asshole in that case (as though I need a reason) :-)

All righty on to more Pomatomus progress. So far one sock is complete except for ends being weaved in:

What the deal with the toe you say? Well I am very concerned that I won’t have enough yarn to make it to the end of another size 10 sock. So if I have to have an emergency toe substitution I will be good and do it on both socks.

Anyway, I LOVE this sock and this yarn. Very comfy despite my foot and leg’s slightly bloated pregnant lady state. Can’t wait to finish the other one so they can be worn. Pattern is pretty easy although I found the transition to pattern on the instep was a little confusing.

Ok that is all I have been knitting on so in other news…

It’s a BOY!!! Yep there is a wee person with a wee penis growing inside me! I was pretty sure it was a boy for some reason but to actually know is pretty freaking amazing! Ok, I will not turn into that lady that tells more than you want to know. I will also try not to turn into the one the makes her knitting blog an ode to baby blog, I just had to share.

*clears throat* Ok carry on with your daily business.

It’s like dinosaurs…

So on Monday night my husband’s job came up with another cocka-mamie (sp?) excuse to hang out and drink. This time it was bowling. For those who aren’t familiar, my husband works for a major financial company as a computer guy (not as glamorous as it sounds, trust me). This company is in a constant state of cele-freaking-bration. Happy hours, hawaii shirt day you name it. Anywho, I decided to opt out of this one and spend the evening with Melissa. So her hubby met us and bought us dinner. Afterwards I couldn’t reach my DH so we decided to make the 1/8th mile drive to check on him. He was not ready so we decided to knit, no surprise there. There is always that guy who shouldn’t drink right? Or at least shouldn’t have more than one…They have TWO of those.

Guy on right (guy on left is fine) greets us as we walk in and proceeds to threaten to touch my stomach. That my friends is a NO NO. Pregnant or not NO TOUCHIE!!! Melissa told me in time to dodge it for the rest of the night. Anyway, we are knitting away minding our own business and this guy taps Mel on the shoulder:

‘Is that how things are made in real life?’ I should have been gracious here but he annoys me and had had more than his one alotted beer and whatever so…

‘*LMAO* Umm this is real life. *Tapping Mel’s arm* See we are both real and this is happening right now.’

‘Well but I mean that’s how they’re made? The ones you buy in the store?’

‘Umm no, those are mass produced by cheap labor using machines. This is how it was done before that.’

‘Really!?! Because that is taking FOREVER. Is that how they did it way back in my grandmothers time?’

‘Umm, you know machines weren’t always available right? Before that people did this crazy thing called HAND MAKING things. And they did need socks and warm things back then.’

Now you may be saying, Fattie there is no need for you to be an asshole. This poor guy just needs you to kick some knowledge. First off, if you used the words ‘kick some knowledge’ I must inform you it is not 1994. Secondly, other people who are not me or Mel (we are biased of course) are equally incredulous to his silly inquiry. I tell my DH and he too laughs and shakes his head.

Enter this guy

Perhaps 20 minutes later after the laughter has settled, tears have dried we are back to knitting and chatting. Leaning over our tables

‘I’ve never seen anybody do that before. What is that CROCHETING?’

‘No it’s knitting.’

‘Wow, I didn’t know people still did that.’

‘Yep both of us and lots more people.’

‘What is that you’re making?’

‘I am making a sock, she’s working on the sleeve to a sweater. *Mel holds up sleeve*’

‘Is that for M (my DH)?’

‘Umm, no it’s for me (yeh the orange Pomatomus is definately not for the man in my life).’

‘Wow I really didn’t know people did that anymore. I mean its like the dinosaurs…you know they exist but you’ve never actually seen one.’

OMG, so yes at this point I am laughing so hard I can not continue to knit. Mel is also beside herself. ‘Like dinosaurs?’ we keep saying. I pass this on to the DH who is also tickled and again shakes his head. I tell him he should talk to the first guy who is equally confused.

‘My wife can’t make anything. Bless her heart, she can’t cook or anything.’

I knew that from meeting her the couple times, he had to know that. :-)

Ok I’m done. Some of the conversations were missed or deemed unimportant but you get the gist. I hope you had at least a giggle. And here is what I was working on:

Definitely not a man’s sock. ;-)

Time is of the essence

As I get older mortality becomes more apparent and pressing. Lately between the new life I am expecting and the lives that are being wasted around me I have been mindful of how short life is. At least trying to be…I’m not living each day like the last or anything like that. Anyway, my dad’s sister passed away this weekend. I hurriedly made a hat for her last week. But couldn’t (didn’t) send it until Wednesday, it didn’t make it in time.

This hat is my own design born out of necessity for speed. Melissa is my lovely model. The hat is made of Debbie Bliss Stella and was knit on size 10.5 needles.

It’s as simple as it looks but if you really want to know how I made it feel free to drop me a line. :-) It’s very stretchy as you can see it fit over Mel’s curlies and fell back into place for the last pic.

Next, I was feeling down at the end of the week so I thought nothing would make me happy like casting on a sock. So I did…

Here is Pomatamus from Knitty made from the Jitterbug I got at the Dunwoody Yarn going away sale Cast On Cottage.

I really love this yarn and my new metal DPNs from KnitPicks. This pic does a really good job of showing the colors.

While I was listening to Yarn Harlot last Wednesday, great fun BTW, I made some nice progress on the Central Park Hoodie sleeves.

I will leave you with what I will call yarn fodder. My dear MIL saw this on sale. She wasn’t sure if I would like it but it was only a dollar.

Ignore the puffy pregnant lady fingers…

Yep acrylic AND nylon.

So she bought me some. She was thinking maybe a scarf. I said it could definitely be a scarf. Maybe for her I thought to myself. Would that be wrong? Or was that what she was trying to tell me? Thoughts? I admit it is really soft.

Ok hopefully the next time you hear from me there will be one complete Pomatomus to show.

Is it easier to make socks for feet you can’t see?

And I’m back. Ok so now I will gush about my Socka…4 socks. I had gotten so worried but she came through! I had a famous person make my socks, crazy huh? I bet you’ve been to her site…I bet you’ve oogled her yarn, maybe bought some. My secret pal is none other than Allison of simplysockyarn.com. Wow! So needless to say, this lady knows her sock stuff.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these socks! They fit better than any of the FOUR pair I have made for myself. I admit I am my own worst critic but every pair has something I wish I had changed or done better. Not these babies. Maybe I could just get her to always be my pal and the world will be a happy place (with toasty toes).

I had a really hard time taking these off that night but its still pretty warm in Atlanta. Why lose them in the covers when you know they won’t be making it through the night?

Here are a couple close ups…

I wasn’t immediately sold on the color because there’s purple in there. But I adore the yarn so everything else was secondary. Its very well…smooshy. Feels very luxurious on the feet. I have enough pairs of blue socks: made and planned so I think having a little purple in there is just what I need to stretch the sock wardrobe. Can’t wait for cooler weather.

Ok onto Central Park…this one has a secret recipient, shhhh.

We’ve all seen it but just in case its here.

I am using Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed? I’ll have to double check that. :-p

Here is a look at the 3 finished pieces

Here’s the back…

No you weren’t hallucinating…those fronts aren’t quite even. Why, you say? Because I counted the cable crossings on both many times. I just failed to verify that I was getting the same number on both sides, OOOHHHH.

I had to tear out the shorter one and work another cable repeat. It looks much better now.

Ok so I was reading the sleeve instructions and had this brilliant idea. Since the sleeves are two of the same why not knit them at the same time? It would be faster, right? And there would be no length snafus like the two fronts.

Also, I didn’t get the new IK until I had been working on Central for some time. What do I find in there? An entire article on making interesting looking cables! So the sleeves were my chance to include something I saw there…

I like how subtle the pattern is turning out. But when I use this one again I won’t use a tweed yarn with handspun qualities. A little too much attitude. :-)

Ok I need to get back to work. TTFN!

Clever pun involving rust?

Ok as promised I am back before several months have passed. I have some pics to show and some pics that I still owe you. First off I will say that I received my Sockapalooza 4 socks on Saturday and they are wonderful but they are on the IOU picture list because I thought I had them with me now to take pics but I don’t. I suck I know but they will be up soon, I promise.

Ok so we discussed Rusted Root briefly the last time here are some progress pics of it:

So far kind of boring to knit due to the all St st except for the 18 stitch or so lace pattern. I have been living from special row to special row (i.e. decrease row) to keep me going but that is all over now. It’s straight in the round for the remaining length of the sweater. I am just below the decreases under the bust. I tried it on an inch after the armholes and it looked just fine. Unfortunately my body is all blown out of proportion with the whole creating life thing going on so I probably won’t bother to do a real try on again until its done. I know I know but my breasts are twice the size as they were…not really a true representation of me. My hope is that there will be enough ease (I think there will be) to wear it at least once after its complete pending the part on the tummy doesn’t roll up the like a window shade. I did however hold it up to myself and there were no glaring issues.

This is a detail shot of the leaf pattern. The whole thing is knit kind of loose but I did check the gauge so I don’t know. Perhaps my new supersize body will come in handy…

This is a shot of the beginning of the arm. If you recall its supposed to do a cute puff thing.

This is the truest representation of the color. Here is a closeup of the waist shaping and a cute wee ladybug. The lady bug stitch marker was handmade by Melissa. If you absolutely have to partake in the cute, and who doesn’t?, you can find stitch markers like these at her Etsy shop.

Ok I have pics of the Central Park Hoodie progress but I will wait to put them up until I have them all. I believe there was a camera incident and some pics made need to be retaken. Happy Monday!

Long time no see

Hello all in blogland…It’s really a good thing I only have 1 reader because otherwise I would have lots of apologies to make for my absence. :-) Between graduate school (accepted and started in June 07), finding out about our impending new addition (took at home test 1 week before school started in June 07), and general busyness I have been unable to make an appearance. Be asssured that I have been knitting though. I will make this a quickie post until I take more pics. Today I will cover Sockapalooza 4.

I decided after much deliberation with myself to make Pembrokeshire Pathways with the remainder of the Fearless Fibers Superwash Merino in Midnight Passion. You have already heard me rave about this stuff as I worked on my MIL’s Seraphim shawl so I will not bore you with more praise except to say I had PLENTY of yarn leftover for my pals socks and enough to send her the remains to make some wee socks or save for repairs.

Anywho, here are the specs:

Mods: There was a small error in the heel. I read some people comment on the error as though it was a huge and glaring issue. It really is no big deal unless you think your heel should be POINTY in which case I wouldn’t say that was the author’s fault, would you?

Completed in about 2 weeks. Loved this pattern. Easy to memorize and super quick. Now my pal does have tiny size 7 feet so that did contribute to the speed but still an interesting knit.

Detail shot…it wasn’t easy because my foot is GIGANTIC by comparison so I could not try it on to take proper pics…hope you get the jist.

The color is pretty close to true if that counts for anything…

Whatever, they were lovely just take my word for it or you can go to my pal’s site. She finally got the socks after weeks of anticipation and her pic of them on her feet turned out better than my pics I think.

I would love to have posted pics of the socks I received from my pal however she emailed me to say that with her busy schedule and what not she had not mailed them as of Aug 6. So you would think that after my gracious response to take her time I would have something in my hands by Aug 28 but to no avail. I felt bad for mailing my pal only her socks, the remaining yarn and the pattern. I saw others sending lots of neat goodies with their socks. But you know what? At this point I really just want some pretty socks that someone made just for me. That’s all. Is that too much to ask. *hangs head*

More soon. I have been working on a Central Park Hoodie, stalled on the Blue Sky Shrug, gotten farther on the hooded baby towel that is now regifted to ME, and have made NO progress on Rusted Root. See you soon. :-)

It’s raining yarn…hallelujah it’s raining yarn!

Last week my co-worker asked if I had some yarn that I wanted to unload because there was a lady that does charity knitting. Well of course I do! Melissa decided she was quitting crafts a few years ago (ridiculous to even suggest, I know). So she turned over her stash of all things crafty. Well that included a butt load of acrylic yarn and crocheting thread. I kept thinking of things to make with the yarn but would buy something I liked more. So thank you charity knitter for taking it off my hands now I have space for new yarn. And that my friends is what its all about. :-) This weekend I was in Springfield, MO. Lovely town really, if I am ever nearby again I would stop. I made my very first souvenir yarn stop at Simply Fibers Ltd. It was nice, there were a couple young knitters working there who actually seemed to know what they were talking about (yay!). I saw plenty of wonderful yarns I hadn’t seen/touched before. But with a great deal of restraint I came out with only this:

Cotton fleece in coral sunset

for this lovely lady: Rusted Root by Zephyr Style (No its not quite the same color but pretty anyway.)

Melissa saw this and called me over. She knew it had Fattie written all over it:

To the left you will see my rewrite of the pattern to match my gauge. The yarn I actually had available (without buying more at the store) was bulkier than Alpaca Silk. This the the very first time that with my calculator in hand I rewrote a pattern to fit my gauge. Thank you, thank you. Hold your applause please. I couldn’t wait so I started it in the car for the long ride back:

So anxious in fact I started knitting it along 3 double pointed needles because I didn’t have my circulars handy. Melissa thought that was pretty funny, dedicated, but mostly funny. :-)

This is Debblie Bliss Stella in a very light cream. When I bought the Silk Shrug pattern I thought I had Cathay which would have been an easy sub…I’m a dork. You may recall this yarn from my birthday post and was planned for the Streakers shrug from IW Spring 06. But as I started to knit that one and read the pattern I didn’t like that the sleeves were perpendicular to the stitches (I already said I was a dork :-p ) and the armpit had a Dolman thing I wasn’t too fond of…enter the Silk Shrug. It has shaping I like but no lace on the sleeve. More math, more math, more math. Short sleeves so a 6 inch lace cuff can be added, TA DA! Well you’ll see…

I refrained at Simply because Dunwoody Yarn is going out of business. I hate to see it go but I was on hand for some closing discounts. Like a vulture I wanted to get there before all that was left was grissle and spleen. I think I cleaned up:

I have no real plan for this but Colinette at 40% off I figured I would think of something. I am signed up for Sockapalooza 4 so perhaps my recipient will get socks made from some extra special yarn. If not looks like some multi color blue socks for me baby! This selfish knitting thing definately has it’s merit.

Next:

Yummy alpaca. This will become a broken rib scarf for me. The ill-fated Douceur de Soie from my birthday and the matching Baby Alpaca were returned because the Douceur made me itch something terrible. Rather than trying to find some other peach to match I returned it all. *sigh* This isn’t enough for a really long scarf as there was only one of each of this (*sigh again*). If it turns out too short I will just order more and hope the colors aren’t too off. The Alpaca&Silk is a light pink and the Suri a chocolate brown. I think it will look something like neopolitan ice cream without the vanilla. :-) But who really cares? It will be hella soft and even more warm.

Lastly:

This will also become a scarf for me! Are you sensing a theme? I love scarves so whatever…I was hoping to make Cinnabar with this but looks like I again don’t have quite enough. Maybe a wee one, I don’t know. Right now, it doesn’t seem like I thought this through, does it?

I also snagged these none yarns:

More Soak, this time in Flora.

And 2 Rebecca Patterns:

All in all $100 worth of stuff for ~$60 I think that’s pretty damn good. The prairie tunic had an incident that I don’t have the strength to cover right now. Ok, ok stop gawking. Go off and pretend to work or something, like me. :-)
